Work Based Learning Framework Higher Ed Insight Work based learning (wbl) is an instructional strategy where students interact with industry community partners in addition to their teachers by participating in authentic real world activities. This study illustrates that the examination of the work based learning model offers the possibility for iranian decision makers and curriculum developers to integrate work and learning at the workplace and help each other develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes required for changing workplaces. Work based learning (wbl) is defined as a mode of education where learning occurs through various programmes and experiences that involve real world work contexts, ranging from small projects to comprehensive initiatives that may deviate from traditional university study frameworks. One mode of learning which has been highlighted in relation to work is reflective practice, and its centrality to learning at work has been established. but reflective practice as a core skill, and its relation to other approaches to learning and research in wbl, remains uncovered.
