Substance Painter Curvature Map Errors Polycount Let's see your high poly mesh and low poly mesh? that could reveal some info. here are screen shots of the highpoly and lowpoly mesh, as well as a screen shot of the uv unwrap. i also included the fbx files of both models in zip files. as suspected, has to do with your source mesh (highpoly). The problem that i am facing is that i am trying to bake a high resolution curvature map but the results are low quality and super blurry, looks like high contrast values, i don't know why but all the cavities and the skin pores and details that i did on zbrush are not showing.
Substance Painter Curvature Map Errors Polycount Many edges just seem to be completely unbaked or recognized, and some are spotty and die out. any help discerning what could cause this would be extremely appreciated. here are some examples of my models and uv's within substance with the curvature map view. Hello everyone, i’m facing persistent problems with curvature map baking in substance painter, as illustrated in the attached image. i’m dealing with areas where the curvature map is not being applied, making manual painting impractical for complex models. Substance painter seems to have a problem when it comes to baking maps from models with a polycount higher than 50 million. the problem is the amount of vram on your gpu. you simply don't have enough to be able to bake from a 50m poly mesh. Hello, i'm having some curvature map issues while baking in substance painter the issue is the curvature map has weird triangles around the border.

Hello, i'm having some curvature map issues while baking in substance painter the issue is the curvature map has weird triangles around the border. Hi! i am texturing landscapes in substance painter. curvature, position maps are not working properly or i don't know how to do fix it. The main issur here is that the only detail you have in your normal is very strong, very thin lines, and the default curvature setting doesn't really work in this case and all the artefacts due to the low poly mesh are overblown. Try playing with the curvature map's "search distance", until you get the results you want. i have to adjust that with almost every bake, to get it right for my needs. it should be able to prevent both issues, potentially. the geometry simply isn't dense enough to create an acceptable curvature map. wow!! why respond with that message?. The problem is that the curvature map is not interpolated there will always be faceting, or you have to subdivide the mesh many times.
