How Does Programming Develop Creative Thinking Stemlook By starting with basic programming, children not only become consumers of digital media and technology but also gain the ability to create, modify and innovate. they learn to shape how we interact with technology and unlock endless possibilities through coding. In this editorial, we build on existing research on design and design thinking, and discuss how students’ learning and design thinking can be developed through design activities in not only engineering and technology, but also other disciplines as well as integrated stem education.

How Does Programming Develop Creative Thinking Stemlook Basic programming lets kids not only be consumers of digital media and technology but also create them, change the way of communicating with them and realize endless opportunities of coding. The reality is that technology will develop at a fast pace in the future, but the skills kids develop now will be useful for them all their lives. by studying programming, they learn that there are several ways of doing something. Programming teaches kids to think in fresh, creative ways. when their code doesn’t work or gives the wrong result, they need to analyse the problem and find new solutions. this process helps them grasp complex concepts and builds their critical thinking and problem solving skills. Teaching programming skills has attracted a great deal of attention for more than a decade. one potential reason behind this is that the explicit teaching of computer programming can improve.

Design and design thinking are vital to creativity and innovation, and have become increasingly important in the current movement of developing and implementing integrated stem education. Coding is a powerful tool that encourages creativity in students. by empowering them to build their ideas, promoting experimentation, integrating arts and technology, facilitating collaboration, and enhancing problem solving skills, coding prepares students for a rapidly evolving world. This paper proposes a game based assessment environment for programming challenges, built on top of a specialized framework, in which students develop a program to control the player, henceforth called software agent (sa). We are interested in the ways that design based learning activities – in particular, programming interactive media – support the development of computational thinking in young people.
