All public space and general collections space are accessible from this circulation route. these spaces, including public lobbies, promote social exchange, much like a community center. this massive one volume serves as a reading space while keeping with the mood and setting of a library.

The new daegu gosan public library claims the notion of route. it emphasizes on the spatial continuity of the adjacent urban park through a landscaped path along the park. it leads the future users gently at the heart of the central vegetal atrium of the library, which creates a small public square. this whole route is the “vegetal promenade”. The library is designed to be an eco friendly facility, operating on geothermal energy using solar shading performative orientation to contain related energy costs for heating and cooling.
